Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Kirsten, the photographer behind Studio Kal! I’m the one with her camera in one hand and a cup of tea (occasionally a Campfire Mocha from Caribou) in the other. I’m a Minnesota girl through and through, but will always yearn for adventure. I mostly focus (pun fully intended) on portraiture, from couples to families with some one-on-one model shoots as well. If you have an idea for a shoot, let me know! I love bringing peoples’ visions to life.

Not only do I want to capture your moments, I want to capture what makes you YOU!. Heritage, traditions, passions, hobbies, favorites, quirks, you name it. I’m easy going and love to laugh, which I bring to each one of my sessions. My goal is always show the best in people, and let their true colors shine.

So where in the world is Studio Kal? Anywhere and everywhere! From a cozy in-the-home lifestyle session to a North Shore elopement, I’m there. I can come to you or we can meet up! I’m located in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities and always up for a road trip. I know some hidden gems around the Cities as well as plenty of classic spots for your shoot.
